Biographical Note

Matteo Bordoni is Of Counsel of Studio Coccia De Angelis ed Associati law firm and his main areas of practise are Commercial Litigation, Arbitration, International Trade and Real Estate.

He holds a J.D. degree cum laude from the Law School of LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome (2002) and a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the University of California Berkeley Law School (2013), which he attended after gaining a PH.D. in International Law at Federico II University of Naples.

Mr. Bordoni has an extensive experience on national and transnational commercial litigation, particularly in connection with national arbitration (including ad hoc, corporate, administered, public contracts and sport arbitration) and international arbitration.

He regularly assists clients on: (i) commercial contracts; (ii) public contracts and construction projects (including concessions, service agreements, gas supply agreements); (iii) public and private international law matters (including jurisdiction and choice of law issues, battle of forms, enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards, citizenship, immunities of States and International Organizations from jurisdiction and Execution, inheritance, international investment law, migration law); (iv) Real Estate; (v) debt recovery and bankruptcy proceedings; (vi) insurance (including liability of Executive Officers).

Mr. Bordoni is a Member of the Rome Bar School for Lawyers and a Member of Rome Bar Commission on Civil Procedure. Furthermore, he is a Member of the Executive Committee of ISPRAMED – the Institute for the Promotion of Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Mediterranean area.

He published articles in highly regarded law reviews such as Rivista di Diritto Internazionale, Rivista dell’arbitrato and affarinternazionali.it and frequently participates as a speaker and lecturer in prestigious legal seminars for Lawyers.

Mr Bordoni is Italian mother tongue and speaks and writes fluently English and also works in French language.
