Professor Massimo Coccia at the Sao Paulo Arbitration Week

Professor Massimo Coccia, Vice-President of the AIA - Italian Arbitration Association, participated as a speaker at the Sao Paulo Arbitration Week (SPAW).

Within this authoritative international setting, Prof. Coccia contributed to two panel discussions focused on current topics:

"Commercial Arbitration in the Sports Industry": a comparison of Brazilian and European perspectives on the legal and practical challenges in sports dispute resolution. The debate also included participation from professionals at the Souto Correa Advogados law firm and the R9 Group.

"Business and Arbitration between the EU and Mercosur": an analysis of the practical implications of the EU-Mercosur Trade Agreement on economic relations between Italy and Brazil. Focus was placed on the impact of ESG criteria, requirements for access to the European market, and dynamics in the resolution of commercial disputes through arbitration.

These meetings, held also with the support of the AIA, highlight the importance of international dialogue for the evolution of arbitration and ADRs.
