Lawyer - Associato
Giulia Vigna is an associate at Coccia De Angelis & Associati since 2017. Her main areas of practice are national and international sports law and sports arbitration.
She has been a member of the Legal Chamber of the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV) since 2021. Moreover, she currently serves as ad hoc clerk in proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
She also has expertise in IP law, with focus on trademark law and trademark protection.
In October 2023, on the occasion of the “Rome Sports Law International Conference”, Ms. Vigna received the “Young Sports Lawyer of the Year” award in the Under 35 category by the Italian Sports Lawyers Association (Associazione Italiana Avvocati dello Sport – AIAS).
She graduated in law (cum laude) at the University of Turin, with a thesis in international law on "Themes Related To The Law Applicable to the Merits in International Sports Arbitration before the CAS", judged worthy of mention by the degree committee. In the academic year 2015/2016 she participated in the "Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot" as a member of the team representing the University of Turin. The team ranked 18th on 311 participants in the General Rounds and received a Honorable Mention in the competition for the "Frédéric Eisenmann Award - Best Team Orals".
Ms. Vigna’s mother tongue is Italian and she also speaks English fluently.
